Typically, there are three different formats of LTR Visa depending on LTR Visa issuance location.
The LTR visa stay permit is granted for a period of 5 years upon initial entry into Thailand; however, its validity is strictly limited to the expiration date of the passport. Holders are strongly encouraged to regularly verify the accuracy and validity of their stay permit to ensure compliance and protect their eligibility.
If an LTR visa holder intends to extend their stay permit beyond the expiration date of their current passport, they must contact the Immigration Bureau at Thailand Investment and Expat Services Center (TIESC), 6th Floor, PARADE Zone, One Bangkok Building, Bangkok to complete the visa information transfer. Once the transfer is processed, the holder will be issued a stay permit for the remaining eligible period.
